I am John Kelly and I've formed Blue Sky Defense Consulting as I wanted the opportunity to work with like minded Companies that wish to enter the US  Defense market, either foreign owned or already within the US.

I have over 30 years experience in the defense industry in many different roles ranging from CEO and business development leadership to engineering, logistics management, and project management, but my passion lies in bringing teams together, forging a strategy and leading the teams to add value and make a difference to the organizations that I  have  worked within.

 

I have also enjoyed success, developing business in both the International and US domestic markets including ITAR compliance, FOCI mitigation, facility clearance and the establishment of Special Security Agreements (SSA) with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA). I can be flexible in the scope of my engagement from day rates supporting workshops/strategies through to longer term engagements working on bids and helping to build trusted relationships with key customers. I can also provide interim leadership roles as companies go through growth or restructuring.
